The Fine Art images that you find on this site started with a digital image which was individually adjusted using Photoshop to provide the optimum print. The black and white images are reproduced with a Sepia tone, to enhance the feel of the era and to provide a warmer tone. Several of the images have been further enhanced by hand tinting. Hand tinting dates back to the Victorian era, before the advent of color photography.
All the photographs were taken using Nikon cameras and lens. Most of the statuary and angelic photos were shot with black and white film, either Kodak T-Max 3200 or Tri-X Pan film. Kodak Portra series films were used for shooting the color images.
